PICPAH Dancers
PICPAH – stands for Pride In Culture, Performers At Heart.
The PICPAH Dance Troupe is made up of 2 separate dance teams.
The Aboriginal Dancers known as Imbulah Imbulah and our Torres Strait Islander Dancers known as Western Blue.
The Aboriginal Dance troupe consists of Russell Barney, Daniel Brown, Jai Cummings & Stedman Sailor.
The Torres Strait Islander Dance troupe consists of Tenille Ahwang, John Mooka, Louis Mooka & Tom Neliman.
The PICPAH Dancers have been awarded the Townsville City Council Arts Award in the category of Dance and perform regularly at the Cultural Centre for the general public as well as school programs.
PICPAH Dancers can also be booked for your events outside of the Cultural Centre.

The Cultural Centre’s Board of Directors is made up of 8 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members.
The Board consists of the following community representatives.
- 2 Directors from the Wulgurukabba traditional custodians.
- 2 Directors from the Bindal traditional custodians
- 2 Directors from the Torres Strait Islander community
- 2 Directors from any other Aboriginal traditional custodian group.
