The Cultural
Centre features a Fine Arts Gallery to exhibit contemporary works from artists of both regional and
national acclaim.
These are
local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and showcase paintings, sculptures, artefacts and carvings.
The Cultural Centre host regular exhibitions annually to promote the works of these local artists.
Some of the artist who currently display works in our Fine Arts Gallery include Gail Mabo, Shirley Collins, Christine Morrish Franklin, Dorothy Anderson and James Doyle to name a few.
Many of these stunning fine art pieces are available for purchase.
The Centre contains an Interpretive Gallery, housing an exclusive collection of historic and contemporary artifacts along with information that has been collected from within the Northern Region.
Guided tours of the interpretive gallery can enrich the experience, and are available on request. The Cultural Centre also features a Fine Arts Gallery - to exhibit contemporary works from artists of both regional and national acclaim.
